I had a writing session with Cava Menzies and Lisa Forkish (of CavaLisa) this afternoon. These ladies are amazing! I met them through their work with the students at the Oakland School for the Arts. We all sat in the yard, enjoying a burst of January sunshine and then moved to the piano and music just happened. No lyrics yet, but the chords, rhythm and melody are in place! Love it!
