I enlisted my <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/enspiritsmusic.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">EnSPirits<\/a> partner, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm8526739\/\" target=\"_blank\">Dave Tweedie<\/a> (drums \/ recording \/ mixing), and my sista-friends <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.andrealisa.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Andr\u00e9a Lisa<\/a> (guitar \/ BGVs) and <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/sherisserogers\/\" target=\"_blank\">Sherisse Rogers<\/a> (bass), to join me in this homage to the brilliant vocalist, performing artist, poet and composer, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Jill_Scott\" target=\"_blank\">Jill Scott<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I chose &#8220;Golden&#8221; because the lyrics resonate with me both artistically and personally. She sings of her freedom, her agency, her connection to the divine and the entire song sparkles with her joy.
