Basic Green Smoothie"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Happy New Year!!!<\/p>\n<p>I hope that you enjoyed a fitting farewell to 2014 and joyful welcome to 2015! \u00a0I&#8217;ve been enjoying the holidays with family, and haven&#8217;t been as consistent with my semi-raw vegan practices (and obviously terrible at blogging), but starting this week, I&#8217;m back on it! \u00a0I&#8217;ve been having my breakfast smoothies, though. \u00a0So, I offer my recipe for a basic breakfast smoothie in this blog posting. \u00a0Of course, you can change the type of fruit and vegetable, but overall this is how I make my shakes.<\/p>\n<p>Basic Green Smoothie (makes enough for two servings)<\/p>\n<p>1 cup Almond\/Coconut milk<br \/>\n1\/4 cup aloe juice (whole leaf)<br \/>\n1\/4 cup cactus water<br \/>\n1\/2 green or yellow apple or pear<br \/>\n1\/2 orange<br \/>\n5 green grapes<br \/>\n4 small kale leaves or a handful of spinach<br \/>\n1\/2 avocado<br \/>\n1\/4 lemon<br \/>\n1&#8243; slice cucumber<br \/>\n1 mint sprig<br \/>\n2 parsley sprigs<br \/>\n1\/4&#8243; ginger<br \/>\n1\/8&#8243; turmeric (VERY strong flavor, but super healthy, optional)<br \/>\n1 Tbsp chia seeds<br \/>\n1 Tbsp ground flaxseed<br \/>\n1\/2 scoop wheatgrass<br \/>\n1 Tbsp coconut oil<br \/>\n1 Tsp local honey<\/p>\n<p>Adjust liquid to your taste and texture preference. \u00a0Put everything in blender. \u00a0Blend. \u00a0Drink! \u00a0Yummy!<\/p>\n<p>@SemiRawVegan<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Happy New Year!!!
