We performed the <a href=\"http:\/\/cdbaby.com\/cd\/henrypleas\" target=\"_blank\">Cantata by John Carter<\/a>, a rigorously energetic and challenging piece, based on several African American Spirituals. We did a great job, though I had to work hard to get the last movement of the piece, the Toccata. Angela had the Toccata transposed to a higher key, and the fast passed notes and chords didn&#8217;t sit as well in the hands, so to speak!
