Hello friends! It’s been quite a year: I’ve been in New York City since February, working as Music Director on Summer: The Donna Summer Musical. It was my Broadway debut, and I’m so grateful to the creative team for the opportunity, the cast and crew for their excellence and my band for bringing the Disco to life every night. And I’m especially grateful for the many people who came to the theater to witness and groove to our work. Thank you all so much! Our “Last Dance” is coming up on Sunday, December 30…

I’m looking forward to what 2019 will bring. I want to return to writing, and reacquaint myself with my creative side. I want to achieve fluency in Spanish, reach my fitness goals (remember those pull-ups? sigh…), get back to dance classes and to travel the world playing music again. I’ve already started making plans so that I can meet my goals successfully. Wish me luck, say a prayer and cheer me on. I’ll take it all!

I’m grateful for many things that 2018 brought me: a steady job (!), a NYC music community, new friends, reconnection with old friends, the chance to hear incredible live music, loved ones visiting me, friends housing me, those weekly massages (thank you Maribel!!), acupuncture, yoga classes in beautiful studios, meeting theater and film legends, feeling connected to this big, beautiful city, and so much more. Thank you 2018! Thank you New York City! I’ll be back…

I wish you all a very Happy Holiday Season, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. May 2019 be your best year yet!

In parting, I leave you this gift: a video of a song by Dave Tweedie, featuring me. Dave filmed me a few days ago, as we wandered around the various Winter Wonderland areas in Manhattan. Please enjoy!

Going Home for Christmas

Blessings & Music,

Victoria
